rambling along

I often come across photos of art studios.  I look at a studio with the same critical eyes that I use for the art itself.  Some studios seem depressing and overly tidy.  Some are too small, others too large.  Some seem like rooms tacked onto a typical house or apartment. And then there are those that some millionaire pays for.  In short, I am not easy to please when examining where paintings and sculpture get made.

Here is a snapshot of a nearly completed steel element to a painting I'm working on.  Certain sculptors would say it's not serious enough.  Too average.  Like someone tinkering in his garage on the weekends.  I'd agree.  My sculpture has never gotten beyond the early stages.

But as a part of a painting it makes better sense.  It's a little more professional.

I need more time.  Give me ten more years.  I'll be ready by then, and afterwards I'll happily blast off to the next dimension.
